The Potter’s House is a church in Carson, California. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written plainly on purpose. If anything here is unclear, call us on (714) 319-3950 and we will explain it.
Information you give us
This website has no forms and asks you for nothing. There is no sign-up, no account, no mailing list and no newsletter. Nothing on this site collects your name, your email address or any other personal detail.
If you call or text the number on this site, we will of course see your phone number, and we use it for one thing: to reply to you. We do not add it to any list.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like nearly all web hosting, it keeps standard server records of requests — the IP address a request came from, the browser used, the page requested and the time. These records exist to keep the site running and to protect it from attack. They are held briefly and are not used to identify individual visitors.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no third-party trackers of any kind. Nothing on this site follows you to other websites, and nothing from other websites follows you here. There is no tracking to opt out of, because there is none to begin with.
Photographs
The gallery on this site contains photographs taken at our services and church events. They are published to show the life of the congregation. They are not sold, licensed, or used in paid advertising.
If you appear in a photograph on this site, or your child does, and you would prefer it were not published, tell us and we will take it down. Call or text (714) 319-3950, or speak to someone at the church. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not ask for one.
Who else handles your information
One outside service is involved in running this website:
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and delivers its pages.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share personal information with anyone. We do not disclose it to advertisers or data brokers. We would only disclose information if we were legally required to, or if it were genuinely necessary to protect someone’s safety.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and because it collects nothing, it gathers no information from them.
How long we keep it
Automatic server records are kept only for a short period. Because the site collects nothing else, there is nothing else to keep.
What you can ask us to do
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to remove a photograph you appear in. Call or text (714) 319-3950, or speak to someone at 22217 Avalon Blvd. We will not charge you and we will not make it difficult.
Security
This site is served entirely over an encrypted connection, and browsers are instructed never to connect to it insecurely. No website is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so plainly than promise otherwise.
Links to other places
This site links out to Instagram, to Google Maps, and to your own bank for giving through Zelle. Once you follow those links you are on someone else’s service, governed by their privacy policy, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so from the pulpit as well as here.
